Bessie E. Anderlik age 92 of Coralville died on Saturday, May 24, 2003 following a brief illness at Lantern Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Coralville. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2003 at the Gay and Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City, visitation will be from Noon until service time at the funeral home. A reception will immediately follow the service before going to Oak Hill Cemetery in Coralville for burial. Memorials may be given to Lantern Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 915 20th Ave. Coralville, Iowa 52241. Online condolences may be sent to her family @ www.gayandciha.com.
Bessie was born on July 9, 1910 in Mount Vernon, Iowa the daughter of Harvey N. and Mary E. Hoffman Carney. She attended Mount Vernon Schools and married Paul E. Anderlik in Iowa City. Her daughters will remember Bessie as a good mother, a wonderful cook and a person who knew the value of work.
Her family includes two daughter’s M. Pauline and husband Ervin Lovetinsky and Harriet Dautremont of Coralville. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, two as infant and three from the Iowa City area. three sisters, son in-law William Dautremont and granddaughter Jill Loventinsky. The Gay and Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service are caring for Bessie’s services and her families.
