Goldie Kessler

Goldie Kessler, 85, formerly of Solon, died Wednesday at Hallmark Care Center in Mount Vernon.

Services will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Solon, with burial in Oakland Cemetery, Solon. The Rev. Francis Lenoch will officiate.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at Brosh Funeral Home. A general memorial was established.

Mrs. Kessler was born Nov. 25, 1907 in Johnson County, to William and Nettie (Smith) Adams. She married George Umbdemstock July 7, 1930, at Marion. He died in 1955. She then married Joseph Kessler Sept. 11, 1957, at Solon. He died in 1989. She worked at a grocery store in Cedar Bluff many years ago. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Survivors include one sister, Edna Baxa, Tipton.
