Julie Spahn Teachout, 52, of 3354 Hanover Court in Iowa City, died Saturday, July 24, 2010 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Julie was born on June 13, 1958 in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Tom and Bonnie Spahn.
On November 23, l979 she was united in marriage to Steve Teachout in Dubuque, IA.

Julie worked as a Loan Officer at Hills Bank and Trust until 2003 when she went to work for Steve Anderson at Hawkeye Title and Settlement.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children Kevin Teachout of Iowa City and Patricia Teachout of Denver, Colorado;
sisters, Kathy (John) Klecker of Pasadena, Ca, Nancy (Tom) Hora of Cedar Rapids, and Colleen Fitzgerald (Rob Whitman) of Iowa City;
nieces & nephews, Thomas, Michael, Ben Klecker, Angie Hora Mathiasen, Emily
and Phil Hora, Shannon (Fitzgerald) Lynch, Patrick, Megan and Molly Fitzgerald;
two great nephews Emmett and Jacob Mathiasen and one grand niece Hayden Lynch;
aunts and uncles, Imogene Larson, Bernie & Adrian Ferreira, Sally Cover, Donna Cahalan and Shirley Cahalan and a very special aunt and Godmother, Mary Hoffman;and many wonderful cousins.

Julie was preceded in death by her parents and sister Patricia.
