Margaret E. Heise, 89, of Legacy Pointe in Iowa City, died Saturday,July 10, 2010 at Solon Nursing Care Center.

Margaret was born January 20, 1921 in Fairfield, Iowa, to Floyd and Gladys Mitchell.
She recieved her BSN from the University Of Iowa School of Nursing. There she was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority. During those years she married Dr. Harris Heise. She moved to Marshalltown, Iowa, where he established his radiology practice and remained there until moving to Iowa City in 2000 to be near family.
During her years in Marshalltown, she was active in her childrens' lives. She was a mother who played with, and read to her children. She belonged to many clubs and organizations, including PTA, PEO, Starpha, Tuesday Musical, Congregational Church Choir, Theta Xi, Womens' Auxillary, Dreamettes, YWCA Heritage Club, Community Theatre, Glass Club, and aquired many master points in her various bridge clubs.
She also travelled the world extensively. Her interests included collecting Heisey Glass, gardening, bible study, antiquing, playing the piano, adoring her cats, hosting parties and cooking and baking elaborately for her grateful son-in-laws. She continued her education and supported the education of her children and grandchildren
in any way she could.

Survivors include her three daughters, Mary Perry (Ludovic), of Everett, WA; Dr. Nancy Moses (Bradley) of Hanover, MA; and Polly Sullivan (Daniel) of Iowa City. Survivors also include grandchildren Clay Herstrum, Mitchell Sullivan, Scott Moses and Anne Sullivan; and great-granddaughter, Olivia Sullivan.

To know her was to care for her, and she will be missed by everyone who was fortunate enough to cross her path.
