Cheryl K. Malmberg, age 53, of 1100 Arthur Street, died Monday, April 21, 2003 at her home of failing health.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 26, 2003 at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. Burial will be at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Coralville. Cheryl K. Malmberg was born January 27, 1950, in Iowa City, the daughter of Nels “Rudy Malmberg and Mary Jane Scott Malmberg. She graduated from Iowa City City High School in 1968. She has always loved children, working in childcare for many years, caring for children in her church, and neighborhood. Cheryl enjoyed the outdoors, crocheting, doing crafts, cooking and baking for others.

Her family includes her mother and step-father, Mary and Harry Kramer of Lone Tree; brother, Terry Lee and his wife, Mary Lee Malmberg of Cedar Rapids; their children, Matthew and Michael Malmberg; half brother, Randy and his wife, Leta Kramer of Lone Tree; their children Nicholas, Michael, Vanessa, and Jane Kramer.

She was preceded in death by her father, step-mother, and step-sister.
