Vera Jean Gumtow, 84, of Iowa City, formerly of Lone Tree, died Sunday Jan 18, 2009, in Windmill Manor in Coralville.
Mrs. Gumtow was born Feb. 23, 1924, in Lone Tree, the daughter of John larew and Ethel Stonebarger. She married Robert Harvey Gumtow in May of 1972 in Chicago, Il.
Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Carol Casey Galvin of Chicago and Tina Casella of Tiffin; two stepsons, Bob and wife Rosanna of Rockford, IL.; and Mike and wife Connie of MI.; six grandchileren; t wo great-grandchildren; one brother, Jack Larew and wife Norma of Lone Tree; a sister-in-law, Hester Larew of Lone Tree; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jim Larew.
