Anthony L. “Tony” Ziccardi, 56, of 1420 Broadway, died Saturday, March 8, 2003, at Mercy Hospital after a long battle with heart disease.

A celebration of his life will be held Tuesday, March 11, 2003 from 4:00 to 7:00pm at the Iowa City Elks Club, 637 Foster Road, Iowa City. A memorial service will start at 5:300pm. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or American Lung Association. Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service is handling the arrangements.

Anthony was born July 28, 1946, the son of Serafino “Sam” and Maria Tromba Ziccardi in Brooklyn, New York. He attended Parsons College in Fairfield, Iowa where he earned his BS in science education. He worked Moore Business Forms for nearly twenty years. He was an avid bridge player; he enjoyed fantasy sports and his newly found interest in poker.

He is survived by one uncle, Michael Tromba of Long Island, New York, and by two aunts, Florence “Flo” Falco, of Scotssdale, AZ, and by Constance “Tootsie” Morgan of West Palm Beach, FL, by one godson, Anthony D. Wilcox of North Liberty, IA, and by countless friends who will miss him.
