Elmer J. Bollei

Elmer J. Bollei, 71, of 419 Grant Street, died Thursday afternoon at Mercy Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Funeral mass is scheduled for 9 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, with burial in the new section of St. Joseph's Cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Donohue Mortuary, where friends may call after 7 p.m. Saturday.

Mr. Bollei was born in Iowa City Sept. 30, 1901, the son of John P. and Anna Fuhrmeister Bollei. He was married to Lillian Kabela Nov. 29, 1933 at St. Mary's Church in Solon.

Mr. Bollei was employed as a baker here until 1953, after which he served as a supervisor in the city sanitation department until his retirement. He was a member of St. Mary's Church.

Survivors include his wife; a son, David J. of Tiffin; a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Doris) Ashworth of Lancaster, Calif., and a sister, Mrs. Edward (Marie) Krahmer of Cedar Rapids.

One brother died earlier.
