Josephine C. Hoye, 102, of 116 Friendship Street in Iowa City, died peacefully Thursday, January 7, 2010 at Mercy Hospice in Iowa City.

Josephine worked for nearly 40 years at the University of Iowa Laundry.

Survivors include her children, Colletta Eisenhofer of Iowa City, Merle Hoye of Lafayette, Colorado, Dolores Hoye of Iowa City, Marcelene Sillman (Larry) of Marion, Trudy Rocca of Rochester, Minnesota and Bill Hoye of Iowa City; 22 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Hoye Sr. and a son, Thomas Hoye Jr.
