Greg Bredlau, 55, of 1209 Edingale Drive in Iowa City, died Thursday, December 10, 2009 at home from cancer.

Greg was born December 11, 1953 in Loyal, Wisconsin, the son of Robert & Marcella (Oehler) Bredlau.
raised in Owen, Greg received his degree in biomedical engineering from LaCrosse Technical Institute.
He married his high school sweetheart, Gayle Frederickson on August 27, 1978 in Owen, Wisconsin.
The couple moved to Iowa City in 1974 where Greg worked as a biomedical engineer with the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics for 35 years.

Greg & his wife were also members of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Iowa City.

He is survived by his wife Gayle;
daughter, Bryanna Bredlau & her daughter Ella of North Liberty, son, Ryan Bredlau (Maggie) & their daughter Lillyan of St. Charles, Missouri and Kent Bredlau (Samantha) of Iowa City;
his parents, Bob and Marcie Bredlau of Owen, Wisconsin; siblings, Dennis Bredlau of Owen, Wisconsin, Brian Bredlau (Debbie) & their children Megan, Brittany & Brandon of Owen, Wisconsin and Jan Willems (Jack) and their children Sam & Connor of Reedsville, Wisconsin; his mother in law, Theone Frederickson of Owen and the rest of Gayle’s family.
