Donna C. Drea-Orris, 65, of 36 Willow Way in Washington & formerly of Iowa City, died suddenly of a heart attack in her home on Thursday, February 27, 2003.

Friends may call Sunday from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service in Iowa City. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Iowa City with Reverend James Vrba officiating. Donna chose to be cremated following the funeral. Private burial of cremains will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to Iowa City Hospice or a charity of choice. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.lensingfuneral.com

Donna was born September 12, 1937 in Iowa City, the daughter of Donald & Mary (Clear) Hunter. She graduated from Iowa City High School and was a lifelong Iowa City resident until moving to Washington in August of last year. Donna married George Drea on September 15, 1958 in Iowa City. The couple later divorced. Donna married Reid Orris on August 30, 2002 in Washington, Iowa.

She worked in food service for the Iowa City Community School District and later for People’s Drug Store in downtown Iowa City. Donna later worked in housekeeping for both The University of Iowa and the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics and later in dietary for University of Iowa Hospital School. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Iowa City and attended St. James Catholic Church in Washington. She was also a member of Iowa City Women of the Moose, Chapter 509. Donna had a great passion for dancing and enjoyed attending dances anywhere that they were held.

She is survived by her husband, Reid Orris of Washington, her children, Deb Zenisek & her husband Jim of Solon, Dan Drea of San Diego, California, Dave Drea of Iowa City, Mike Drea of Iowa City, Melanie Drea of San Francisco, California, Michelle Drea of Iowa City and Darcy Drea, also of Iowa City; a brother Gary D. Hunter & his wife Sharon of Iowa City; three grandchildren, Kyle Drea, Tori Zenisek & Kyle Zenisek; step-children, Cathy Pacha & her husband Mike of Libertyville, Iowa, Linda Marie & her husband Joe of Washington, Tim Orris & his wife Deb of Washington; seven step-grandchildren, Chad Pacha, Jill & Ben Zahs, Jeff Marie, Shelby Marie, Andy Orris and Jennifer Orris and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
