Gary W. Leskanich, 53 of La Jolla, California, died peacefully December 25, 2003 after a ten-week fight with cancer.

A graveside service will be held 1 P.M. Saturday, January 3, 2004 at Saint Bridget’s Cemetery-2136 Saint Bridget’s Road NE, Solon, Iowa 52333. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Friends of St. Bridget’s c/o 2333 Johnson-Cedar Rd NE, Solon, Iowa 52333.

Gary was born April 22, 1950, in Peoria, Illinois, as the son of Albert and Margaret (Urichko) Leskanich. He worked as an accountant for Solar Turbines Inc. On June 5, 1992, he married Patricia, his best friend of ten years.

He is survived by his wife, Pat Leskanich of La Jolla, California; his children, Kimberly Delveau of Davenport, Iowa; Brian Runyan of San Diego, California; Rich Runyan of Sidney, Nebraska; one sister, Karen Skaggs of Peoria, Illinois; by two nephews, Mark and Jeff Skaggs of Peoria, Illinois; and by five grandchildren.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents.

He was a loyal Chicago Cubs fan.
