Betty Jean Roberge, 81 of 2801 Hwy 6 east, died Saturday January 28, 2006 at her home following a short illness.

Betty was born on May 3, 1924 in Iowa City, IA to Emery E. and Mabel Eunice Ihrig Deal. She graduated from City High School in 1942. Betty married William Ralph Roberge on January 26, 1946 in Iowa City.

Betty is survived by her husband William Ralph, four children; Janelle (Rocco) Wagner of Iowa City, Teresa (Joe) Simmons of Milledgeville, GA, Bill Roberge of Iowa City, and Mark (Melody) Roberge of Rochester, NY, three sisters; Joyce Rathjen of Solon, Helen Dunham of LaGrange, WY and Bea Northway of Poughkeepsie, NY, ten grandchildren, ten great-granchildren and two great-great granchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Harold Deal and a daughter Kathy Russell.
