Edna Wagner, 99, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at Oaknoll Retirement Home. She had resided at Oaknoll for the past 12 years.

Edna was born June 16, 1906 in Iowa City, the daughter of Michael and Mary (Tauber) Jirava. She married Raymond E. Wagner on June 15, 1929.

Edna was active in the Carnation Rebecca Lodge, Ladies Encampment Auxiliary, Past Noble Grand, Eastern Star, White Shrine, Iowa City Women’s Club, Sara Hart Circle of the First Christian Church and the Golden Age Club.

Edna is survived by her two daughters, Marian (William) Payne of Muscatine and Marjorie (James) Winquist of Waukesha, Wisconsin; two granddaughters, four step-grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one brother.
