Louise Mary (Hughes) Ledman, 88, formerly of Iowa City died peacefully Monday May 15, 2006 at Atrium Village, Hills following a lengthy illness.

Louise was born on June 26, 1917 in Dubuque, IA to Charles and Clara Zemanek Hughes. She married William (Bill) Ledman in Nashua, IA.

Louise is survived by her three children; Quinta Bontrager of Iowa City, Barbara Willer (Joe) of Portsmouth, NH, Richard Ledman, (Jane) of Manassas, VA, two sisters; Rita Schlitz of Dubuque, IA, and Stella Rosauer of Anthon, IA, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and her husband Bill.

The family is grateful to all the staff at Atrium Village in Hills for their compassion and care they gave to Louise.
