David A. Black, 41, of 2117 14th Street in Coralville, died Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City from congestive heart failure.

David was born February 26, 1965 in Toledo, Ohio, the son of George & Joann (Petry) Black. David worked as a construction contractor in Toledo.

He married Linda Mozingo July 11, 1983 in Toledo and moved to Coralville in November of 2004.

Survivors include his wife Linda; his children, son, David “DJ” Black of Coralville, Christina Black of Marion, Susan Straub & her husband Thomas, their daughter, Halee Straub, and Melissa Black, all of Toledo; his parents, George & Joann Black of Toledo; a sister, Barbara Black of Toledo and his dear & close friend, Stan Wierzba of Coralville.
