Adeline Sonju Brooks, of 1799 5th Street, Coralville, died August 11, 2006 at Greenwood Manor. The daughter of Adolph and Marie Sonju, Adeline was born in Boy River, MN on June 13, 1918 and married Ira Brooks February 6, 1936. Ira died October 6, 1990.

Survivors include daughters, Orla Vadnais, Judy Swartzendruber, Vicki Berens, Son-in-law Ron Swartzendruber, daughter-in-law Bev Brooks, brothers Winton and William Sonju, 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Adeline was preceded in death by her husband, a son Ron, sisters Eunice Letourneau and Marion Maijala, a great granddaughter Melissa, and a son-in-law Tom Vadnais.
