Bryan Lee Cates, 48, of Iowa City died Monday November 27, 2006 at his home.

Bryan was born on October 19, 1958 in St. Louis, MO to Fred and Linda Dalby Cates. He graduated from St. Olaf College in Minnesota. Bryan worked at Iowa State Bank in Iowa City for five years. He married Debra Wehmeyer on June 26, 2004 in Iowa City.

Bryan is survived by his wife Deb of Iowa City, four children; Ben and Hannah Cates of Iowa City, Danielle Wellington of Columbus Junction, Aaron Blodgett of Washington, his mother Linda Cates of Minneapolis, MN, a brother Ross Cates (Sharon) of Texas and a sister, Betsy Cates of Minneapolis, MN.
