Mary Jensen, 48, of 131 3rd Street in Riverside, died suddenly Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

Mary was born April 3, 1958 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Cecil & Myrtle (Gerstenberger) Powell.
Graduating from Iowa City West High School in 1976, Mary worked at Moore Business Forms in Iowa City for 29 years as an electronic composer. She enjoyed flower gardening and creating flower arrangements for weddings. Mary was also known for her “mega” holiday baking for friends and neighbors.

Survivors include her husband Jeff: her daughters, Tiffany Jensen and Heather Jensen, both of Riverside; brothers, Cecil (Sherry) Powell of Marion, Gene (Janet) Powell of Cedar Rapids; sisters, Louise (Art) Schonrock of Hornick, Iowa, Sue Holderness of Keota, Patti (Bruce) Hash of Levacy, Missouri and Sonya (Mike) Schwab of Cedar Rapids; step-brother, Greg Tish of Montezuma, Iowa; 51 nieces and nephews; father and mother in law, Richard & Marilyn Jensen of Coralville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Cynthia (Tom) Gillham of Iowa City, Clayton Jensen of Iowa City, Jon (Kasey) Jensen of Orlando and Jennifer (Tim) Tiemens of Plymouth, Minnesota and
the family cats, Bubba, Missy & Max;

Mary was preceded in death by her parents and a 2 brothers-in-law, John Holderness and Donald Plower.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Riverside First Responders.
