Ramona Jean Reichardt of 1719 E Street, Iowa City died Thursday, December 14th at her home with her loving family surrounding her.

Ramona was born on November 25, 1926 in Iowa City. She was the daughter of Dr. Arthur and Ruby Margaret Heusinkveld. Ramona was a member of the 1944 graduating class of U High in Iowa City and later attended the University of Iowa for one year before she began raising her family. She was the mother of Steven(Mary), Julianne and Kenneth Reichardt. Family was always the most important aspect of her life and she extended her love and care to not only her family, but everyone she knew. She was a most compassionate and kindred spirit, and those who knew and loved Ramona will always remember what a good woman, mother and friend she was.

Ramona was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Arthur. She is survived by her three children and her grandchildren; Kristen, Sky, and Meghan Huffman and Joshua Reichardt. Memorial services will be held at a later date. The family of Ramona would like to extend a special thanks to Iowa City Hospice for their expertise and guidance.
