Margaret R. Lindebak, 85, a former resident of Coralville and Melrose Meadows in Iowa City, died Monday May 21, 2007 at Maplewood Manor in Keota.

Margaret was born December 21, 1921 in Ft. Dodge, Iowa, the daughter of Elmer and Tillie Ulrich Egli. She was a graduate of Manson High School, and worked in a physician’s office there. Margaret married Edward Lindebak of LuVerne on August 4, 1945 in Kansas City, MO. They resided in LuVerne, until moving to Coralville in 1983.

Margaret was a member of First United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.
She was a devoted wife and mother, and was active in her church and community.

Margaret is survived by her husband, Edward of Keota; one daughter, Dawn Helscher and her husband Charles of Keota and their daughters Angela (Nicholas) Brainard and Leslie (Jacob) Olson; one son, Layne Lindebak and his wife Christina Wehde and their son Aaron, all of Des Moines; great grandchildren, Kayla and Natalie Olson; her sister-in-law, Helen Egli of Manson, Iowa.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and two siblings, Helen Junkman and Winford Egli.
