Linda Fae Gottlieb, née Anderson, 60, of Iowa City, Iowa, suddenly passed away on August 5th 2008 while vacationing near Ely, Minnesota.
Ms. Gottlieb was born on November 20th 1947 in Iowa City, the second of four children. She attended public schools in Davenport before attending Iowa State University and the University of Iowa.
Throughout her life Ms. Gottlieb worked tirelessly in the field of women's healthcare. She worked as a volunteer for some years at the Emma Goldman Clinic before taking on a full-time position there in 1993; she was still employed there at the time of her death.
She is remembered as a loving, beautiful, and playful person by her family and friends. Her grandkids already miss their infinity good Grandma Linnie. Among a myriad of her other wonderful qualities too numerous to be elicited, her sharp wit, laughter, compassion, skillful efficiency, knowledgeability, and love of the countryside were well known.
Linda is survived by her loving husband, John Schaap Gottlieb, to whom she had been married for forty years; as well as three children, Sarah, Chloe, and Nathan; three grandchildren, Doak, Piers, and Lucia; parents Kenneth and Opal; siblings Una, Kenneth and June; and sons-in-law Alan Allgood and Peter Rodd.

In lieu of flowers, donations please to the Emma Goldman Clinic, or to the Domestic Violence Intervention Program of Iowa City.
