Tom was born June 29, 1953 in Jackson, Minnesota and was a graduate of Spencer High School and the University of Iowa. Tom married Linda Heath on August 16, 1975 in Oelwein, Iowa.

Tom was a familiar face to many Iowa Citians. While attending the University Tom was employed at Stephen’s Clothiers, the men’s department at Younkers and was a bartender
at Maxwell’s and Joes Place. Tom was an echography technician in the Department of Ophthalmology at UIHC for the past 25 years, and was also employed by Quantel Medical. Tom loved his work and those he worked with and cared for.

Tom was a collector and restorer of European cars. His 1961 Jaguar XKE was his pride and joy. He liked to draw, ballroom dance, travel and do home improvements. Tom was always well groomed, both in his clothing and appearance.

Tom is survived by his wife Linda and their three children, Christina Fisher and Adam Stockman of Iowa City, Nathaniel ( Sarah) Fisher of Coralville, and Tasha at home; his mother, Mary Fisher of Spencer; two siblings, Cherry (Paul) Hanson of Honey
Creek, IA and Terry (Julie) Fisher of Sioux City; his in-laws, Marvin and Betty Heath of Otho, IA; and his brother-in-law, Harry (Sheila) Heath of Kalamazoo, MI.

Tom was preceded by his father, his son Brandon, and his brother Chuck and his grandparents.
