Roy E. Pierce, 40, of 2208 Hickory Ct., died Wednesday, September 2, 2008 at the Hospice of Mercy in Cedar Rapids following a lengthy illness.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, September 6, 2008 at 1pm at Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service, Iowa City with burial at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 4 to 7pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.

Roy was born February 28, 1968 in Iowa City, the son of Bobby Joe Pierce and Linda
Reynolds. Roy was a graduate of West High School and was employed at the
Systems Unlimited Center. He loved music, especially Bob Marley.

Roy is survived by his mother, Linda Pierce of Iowa City; his brother, Bob Pierce of
Melbourne, FL; his aunts and uncles, Fred Reynolds of Riverside, Gene (Glenda)
Reynolds of Hills, Hannah Telford of Kalona and Kathy (Jeff) Morrison of Letts;
numerous cousins, and the staff and his many friends at Systems Unlimited.
