MISS EMMA FOUNTAIN SERVICES HELD SUNDAY

Miss Emma Fountain, long-time resident of this community passed away Saturday at the Floyd Mullinix home in Lone Tree, where she has been cared for for some time, following an illness of about a years' duration. About a year ago she suffered a stroke of paralysis from which she never recovered.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Methodist Church in
Lone Tree, with the Rev. Forrest D Kellogg in charge. Music was furnished by Cyril and EArl Rife, accompanied on the piano by Mrs. Cyril Rife. Pallbearers were J. D Musser, J. R. Musser, W.W. Horrell, Harry Fountain, Francis Graspey, and John Stober.

Interment was in the Fountain cemetery northwest of Lone Tree.

EMMA FOUNTAIN

Emma Fountain, daughter of William and Sarah Fountain, was born near Lone Tree, Iowa on March 24, 1864, and departed this life from the Floyd Mullinix home in Lone Tree on April 24, 1937, at the age of 73 years and one month. She lived as a maiden lady, spending her life in this vicinity. She had suffered a stroke of paralysis about a year ago. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Luther, Samuel and Henry Fountain.

Miss Fountain was known by her friends to be kind hearted, neighborly, honest, a lover of children, and a lover of her home. She will be greatly missed by those left to mourn her departure.

She leaves to mourn their loss three sisters, Mrs. Levi Fountain, Mrs. Stella Murphy, and Mrs. George Smith all of Lone Tree: two brothers-in-law: one sister-in-law: one grandson: several nieces and nephews and many friends.
