LONE TREE RESIDENT PASSES AWAY SUNDAY

Mrs. Nancy Trout Relieved Of Suffering Last Sunday Evening

Mrs. Nancy Trout, one of the long time residents of this community passed away at her home on the Levi Fountain farm on Sunday evening of this week after having been in poor health for some time. For many years she has been associated with this community, having spent the past 78 years here.

Nancy Fountain Trout, was born in North Carolina April 27, 1837 and died August 16, 1925 at the age of 88 years 3 months and 19 days. She united with the Brethern Church in her early days and died in the faith.

She came to Iowa with her parents, John and Hannah Fountain in her tenth year and has since made this her home. She leaves to mourn her death, one sister, Hannah Murphy of Lone Tree, two sons, Levi Fountain, residing on the old home place and David Trout of LeGrange, Wyoming, two step children, Lizzie Higgins of River Junction and Job Trout of Covina, California, a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The funeral was held at the home Wednesday afternoon conducted by Rev. W. Arthur Cable of Iowa City and burial was made in the Fountain
Cemetery northwest of Lone Tree.

The sorrowing relatives have the sympathy of the editor of this paper and its readers in the loss of this woman.
