MRS. METCALF CALLED HOME

Wife of Former Iowa City Man, Mason J. Metcalf, Dies after Three Years Illness

Bad news came to Iowa City of the death of Mrs. Mason J. Metcalf of Ft. Dodge, after an illness of three years with tuberculosis. She was the wife of a former well known Iowa Cityan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Metcalf of this state. He is now a prominent traveling salesman of Ft. Dodge.

Mrs. Metcalf was formerly Miss Bessie Cleveland of Burlington, Iowa. She has never resided in Iowa City, but visited here many times and has a great many friends in the city. She was about 35 years of age.

Funeral services were held today at Burlington. Thomas Metcalf of this city went to attend them.
