MRS. LEWIS, 86, DIES TODAY

Mrs. Orrilla F. Lewis, 86, of 14 East Court street, died at 8:35 a.m. today following an extended illness.

She was born in Iowa City February 5, 1865, the daughter of Robert and Sarah Smith, and was married in Iowa City in 1882 to George L. Lewis. The couple lived on a farm in West Lucas township until they moved to Iowa City in 1909.

She was a member of the Welsh Congregational church and of the Iowa Woman's club.

Surviving are one son, Roy Lewis of Iowa City, two grandsons, Ted and Dean Lewis, Iowa City, a granddaughter, Mrs. Dorothy Steinbaugh, Iowa City, and five great grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Carrie Sexton, Iowa City, also survives.

Her husband preceded her in death in 1940 and a daughter, Elvira, died in 1918.

Private funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Oathout funeral chapel with the Rev. Leon England of the First Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. The family requests no flowers.
