Roland Walter, 81
Roland C. Walter 81, of West Melbourne, Florida, formerly of Iowa City, Iowa passed away December 14, 2008 after a sudden illness at The William Childs Hospice House of Palm Bay, Florida.
He was born in Lenox, Iowa and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He graduated from Simpson College in 1952 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He went on to graduate from Drake College of Pharmacy in 1952 and graduated from the University of Iowa, College of Dentistry in 1965. He practiced dentistry for 40 years in Iowa and was a licensed pharmacist for 50 years in the state of Iowa.
He loved Iowa Hawkeye football, basketball, wrestling and the Minnesota Vikings.
He is survived by his daughter Katherine L. Walter of Lincoln, NE, her husband Tim Rinne, Sandra L. Meyer (daughter), and her husband Rex Meyer of Renton WA. Roland B. Walter (son), his wife Judy Jensen of West Melbourne, Fl, and Anna Walter of Lincoln, NE (granddaughter).
