Larry G. Wilcox, 64 of rural Oxford, died Sunday, October 26, 2008, at his home following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 1, 2008, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Oxford, with the Reverend Edmond Dunn officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Oxford. Visitation will be from 4 to 7pm Friday at the church where a parish rosary will be held at 7pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Iowa City Hospice or Oxford First Responders. Online condolences may be sent for his family through the web @ www.gayandciha.com.

Larry G. Wilcox was born April 16, 1944, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa the son of Charles and Viola (Klinkkammer) Wilcox. After graduating from Iowa City City High he joined the Navy where he served for four years. Larry married Patricia (Adams) Zubrod on June 7, 1991 in North Liberty, Iowa. For many years he has farmed in the Oxford area, was owner of Parkview Mobile Home Court, and had driven school bus for the Clear Creek Amana School District for over 16 years. He served as Treasurer for CCA Booster Club, former President of the Iowa City Chamber of Commerce, and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Oxford.

His family includes his wife, Patricia of Oxford; daughter, Kristin (Steven) Burt of Phoenix, AZ; son, Jason (Doneta) Wilcox of Oxford; step-daughters, Sanya (Jeff) Maerschalk of Castle Rock, CO, Wanita (Gary) Kilcollins of Des Moines, IA, Ginny (Joe) Pascual of Walkertown, NC; brother, Denny Wilcox of Phoenix, AZ; grandsons, Clayton and Layne Burt; granddaughters, Jayden and Rylee Burt; three step-granddaughters, Julie Pascual, Molly and Reghan Kilcollins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters.
