Helen Louise (Gerdau) Wilken, 90, resident of Windmille Point, Coralville, and formerly of Bloomfield, NE, passed away October 8th of heart failure.

Helen was born on December 19, 1917 in Bloomfield, where on May 30, 1939 she married Henry Wilken. Henry died on Nov. 20, 2006.

Upon moving to Bettendorf, IA in 1964, Helen attended Cosmetology School in Davenport, IA. Helen opened her own shop, State Street Beauty Shop, which she operated until her retirement.

Survivors include her three children, Donald (Joan) Wilken of Sunrise Beach, MO, Betty Wilken of Lincoln, NE and Larry (Connie) Wilken of Coralville, IA; 7grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and her sister, Betty.
