MARY WALKER
Mary Fountain was born in Gilford Co. North Carolina, August 28, 1834 and died in Johnson county, Iowa, Jan. 14, 1912, aged 77 years, 4 months and 16 days.
She came to Iowa with her parents in 1845. In 1856 she was united in marriage with James Walker who preceded her in death. April 11, 1903.
She leaves to mourn her loss 6 sons and 2 daughters -- Henry, Jane, John, Joseph, Rosella, James, Daniel and Charles. Also 27 grandchildren 16 great grandchildren: 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
The funeral service was held on Tuesday afternoon at one 'clock at the River Junction M.E. church, Rev. J.F. Hawk officiating. The body was interred in the Walker cemetery north of River Junction
