GORDON CRAIN DIES TODAY

Funeral Services for 25-Year-Old Farmer To Be Held Thursday

Gordon William Crain, Route 4, 25-year-old Johnson County farmer, died at 6:15 a.m. today at the home of his parents five miles southwest of Iowa City. He had been in ill health for more than two years.

Mr. Crain was born March 7, 1924, at Chippewa Falls, Wis., the son of Fred and Florence Buntz Crain. When he was six years old he came with his parents to Johnson county.

Surviving him are his parents; three sisters, Mrs. Francis Ihrig, Iowa City, Miss Beverly Jane Crain, Iowa City, and Miss Virginia Crain, at home; two brothers, Robert, of Baltimore, Md., and David, at home; a grandmother, Mrs. Louise Buntz, Chippewa Falls, Wis.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Oathout funeral chapel, with burial in Oakland cemetery.
