Fidel Kessler (1818 – 1905)

Fidel Kessler died Feb. 16, 1905, at his home two miles south of Solon. He has been a resident of Johnson county for 53 years, living all this time on the same farm. He was born in Germany, and was 87 years and 6 months old. He leaves a wife, aged 81 years, and ten children living, and two dead. He was an uncle of F.X. Rittenmeyer of this city and an estimable pioneer in every way.
