SHORT ILLNESS PROVES FATAL

Mrs. Adaline Hershire Dies Sunday Afternoon; Burial Is Tommorrow

Mrs. Adaline Hershire, widow of Mr. A.J. Hershire, a pioneer owner of the Iowa City Press, and local official of great prominence, up to the time of his death 27 years ago, passed away Sunday afternoon, following a brief illness of but a week.
The funeral will be held at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon, from her late home, 111 East Bloomington St., where the end came.
Surviving her are her two daughters and three sons, Elizabet Mosley, Mildred Miner, and Joseph and Richard and Thomas of Iowa City. One brother also mourns - Dexter Hemsted, of California.
A great circle of pioneer friends in Iowa City and Johnson county will share with the family the sorrow that comes with the death of this beloved woman.
