Dorothy M. Cain, 87 and her daughter, Judy K. Stromer, 60 formerly of Iowa City died Saturday, May 26, 2007 from injuries received in a automobile accident near Ladora, Iowa.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, June 4, 2007 from 4 to 7pm at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. A memorial fund has been established for her animals. Online condolences may be sent for their family through the web @www.gayandciha.com.

Dorothy was born May 15, 1920 in Carroll County, MO the daughter of Charles and Iva M. (Kelly) McBee. She married Ralph Cain on June 22, 1943. The couple lived in Mt. Pleasant, Winfield and Wapello areas for a number of years. She has resided with her daughter for some time now.

Her family includes her husband, Ralph Cain or Marshalltown, Iowa; granddaughters and their husbands, Amy Dawnell Cain and Grischa Kurz of Hammond, IN, Kelly Kay Stromer and Martin Nolan of Iowa City, Tricia Marie Al-Yasiri and Hazim of Iowa City and Kristi Lynn Cummings and Howard of Jonesborough, TN; and seven great- grandchildren.

Dorothy was loved by so many and will be missed by all.
