Henrietta S. Baynard, age 95 of 1020 S. Scott Blvd, Iowa City died Tuesday, November 14, 2006, at Legacy Gardens in Iowa City following an extended illness.

Family services will be held at a later date in Bowling Green, Ohio.

Henrietta Sophia Busch Baynard was born January 22, 1911 in St. Paul, MN, the daughter of Karl and Lulu (Snapp) Busch Following graduation from Bexley High School, Bexley, OH, she attended and graduated from Capital University in Bexley; received her M.A. from Ohio State University in French Language and Literature. She was married to Anthony Baynard until his death in 1986 in Bowling Green, Ohio. For many years she taught the French language in schools in Columbus, Bowling Green, and Maumee, Ohio.

Her family includes her children, Cecile Kuenzli and her husband, Ruedi of Iowa City; Suzanne and her husband Robert Stone of Villa Park, IL, Madeleine and her husband Larry Hewitt of Vermilion, OH, and Anthony Baynard Jr.and his wife Susan, of Thompsonville, MI; 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, a brother, Daniel Busch of Tulsa, OK, and a sister, Frieda Jackson of Davenport, IA.
