Beulah “Maxine” Kitzman, age 82 of 800 Miller St., Marengo died on November 20, 2001 at Marengo Memorial Hospital in Marengo after a sudden illness. Memorial services will be held Monday, November 26, 2001 at 11:00 am at the Gay and Ciha Oxford Chapel. Her family will greet friends one hour before service time at the chapel. Memorials may be given to the Maxine Kitzman Memorial Fund.
Maxine Kitzman was born October 30, 1919 in Ollie the daughter of Francis L.and Dora Lalaker Chambers. She attended schools in Ollie and married Dallas C. Kitzman on February 14, 1941 in Nashua, Iowa. They in the Oxford area since the early 1950's and she worked for Amana Refrigeration where she received her forty-year certificate. Maxine moved to Marengo in 1994 and enjoyed painting and sewing.
Survivors include three sons: Fred and wife Carol Kitzman, Ken and wife Ilene Kitzman, all of Swisher, Dallas Jr. "Skip" Kitzman, of North Liberty, grandchildren: Tim, Terrence, Brad, Kara and Lara, sister: Dorothy and husband Max Bates, of Atlantic, two brothers: Ike and wife Jo Chambers, of Packwood, Donald and wife Pat Chambers, of Ollie, along with a sister in-law: Beverly Chambers, of Sigourney.
Preceding her in death where her parents, husband, infant daughter and one brother Raymond.
