Virginia Kessler Lamansky, 80, of Windmill Pointe in Coralville, died Monday, June 26, 2006 at Lantern Park Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Coralville.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10:00 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Iowa City with Reverend Jeff Belger officiating.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service in Iowa City where a parish vigil service will be held at 7:30 pm. A luncheon will immediately follow the funeral Mass. Burial will then be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Iowa City. Memorials may be directed to St. Anthony’s Bread at St. Mary’s Church in Iowa City.

Virginia was born June 8, 1926 in Cosgrove, Iowa, the daughter of Leo & Mary (Walsh) Kessler. She married Dean Lamansky June 4, 1951 in Iowa City. She was a registered nurse at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics for 25 years, retiring in 1990. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Iowa City.

Survivors include her daughter, Peggy Lamansky Ballinger and her husband Stuart and their daughter Allyson Marie of Cedar Rapids, her identical twin sister, Dorothy Brugman & her husband Gene of Iowa City, her brother Larry Kessler of West Liberty, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents & her husband Dean.
