*Celebrates 79th Birthday*
Mrs. George Pickering, mother of J. A. Pickering of this city, celebrated her seventy-ninth birthday on March 23. Mrs. Pickering was born in England and came to this country in 1855 and to this city in the spring of 1857, having resided here ever since. Her friends remembered the occasion of her birthday by giving her a postcard shower.
