In Squire Leasure's court the trial of the state vs. James Wanek the defendant was dismissed. The evidence showed that Mr. Wanek had bargained with Frank Sponey for the sale of a horse and while the latter gentleman was trying the horse, so to speak, Mr. Wanek changed his mind and getting possession of the beast took him home. He was arrested on the charge of larceny but as stated above declared not guilty.
