Will Halter is having a new chicken house built on his farm.
Mrs. Cora Smith of Iowa City spent the week end with her daughter Mrs. Delbert Miller.
Clifford Connelly is still confined to Mercy Hospital where he had an operation about three weeks ago.
Mr. and Mrs. Roy Alt and little daughter Colleen Chloe attended the fiftieth anniversary of Mrs. Alts parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Ford.
Dale Britton went to Fort Sill, Oklahoma to bring his brother, Gerald, home for a two week leave.

50 Years Ago

Mrs. John B. Strickler died January 15 at the age of 90. Bertha Zager was born July 11, 1872 at Sharon Center, the daughter of Louis and Dorthea Mattes Zager.
On November 16, 1897, she was married to John B. Strickler. Mrs. Strickler was the telephone operator in Sharon exchange for 14 years.

New Year's Eve Mrs. and Mrs. Eldon Stutsman were pleasantly surprised at the Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Miller home.
Cephus Miller is an Indiana at the bedside of his mother. It is reported that she is critically ill.
Jay Miller and John Knepp are cutting wood for Harry Grout.
Anan Christner and Pete Alt did their winter butchering recently.
Walter Hershberger and Leo Hershberger went to Hesston, Kansas the first of the week to resume their school duties.
Jay Miller did his shredding Thursday. Lewis Brenneman's machine did the work.
Bill Arnold shredded fodder Monday, Art Ressler's machine doing the work.
