At Recent Party
DOWNEY -- The Sew and So club entertained at a New Year's party Friday evening at the King hall. The evening was passed with contests pertaining to New Year's, after which Five Hundred and rook were played. The hostesses were Mrs. Daisy King, Mrs. Edith Holloway and Mrs. Margaret Peterson who served a two-course meal.
New Year's day dinner guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Skriver were Mr. and Mrs. Harold Molback, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Gill and children, Andy Skriver of Sharon, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Skriver of Hills, Jens Skriver, Bob and Jack Ford, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Nemee, Mr. and Mrs. B. Price, Mrs. Havlik, Mrs. S. Hughes, Mrs. P. Mann, and Mr. and Mrs. F. Glick of Iowa City.
Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Schiele were Sunday guests in the home of Mrs. Bertha Schiele at Durant.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Reier and children of Marengo were New Year's day visitors in the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Bashor.
