A QUIET HOME WEDDING

At the residence of William ?. Chandler, on Thursday, June 14th in the presence of relatives and a few intimate friends, Rev. McDade? united in holy wedlock, Miss Elsie Marian? Chandler to Mr. Walter **** Bartlett.
Simple and brief was this wedding, yet most beautiful with? simplicity and informality.
The decorations through the house were most tastefully arranged and consisted of palms, ferns?, ***das, American beauty and tea roses.
The bride elect and groom ***gled with and received the guests, and at ten o'clock quietly took their place before a bank of palms, with Misses Gertrude Bartholomew of Preston, Iowa, and May Adams as bride-maids, and Mr. Ralph W. Chandler, mother of the bride, and Mr. John L. Howely as best men, and Miss Mary Dodson carried the flowers and represented the little fairy of good fortune while Rev. McDade pronounced the words which made them one.
The bride was gowned in white fawn with lace and ribbon trimmings. Miss Bartholomew wore a handsome gown of pink liberty silk with spangled lace trimmings. Miss Adams wore white fawn with ribbon trimmings.
During congratulations Miss Sadie Wilson presided at the piano then all retired to the dining room and with admiring eyes, watched the bride cut the brides cake.
The happy couple left on the eleven o'clock train for Victor, Colorado where their home was all ready for their coming.
After their departure an elaborate course breakfast was served. Misses May Adams and Lizzie Kelsey having charge of the dining room, and the hour was made merry by the excellent music of Misses Wilson and Bartholomew.
The bride is one of our best girls and stands for all that is pure, noble and good in womanhood, and her deep christian influence was felt not only in the hearts that have been strengthened by her words and deeds but by the influence of her true quiet, christian soul.
Mr. Bartlett, whose home is in Providence, Rhode Island, is a graduate of Brown University and is now pastor of the First Baptist Church of Victor, Colorado. His future is one of promise and power in his chosen work, and with the companion he has chosen this union will be one of usefulness and blessedness to the lives with whom they come in contact.
Mr. and Mrs. Bartlett were the recipients of many useful presents.
The out of town guests present at the wedding were Mrs. Sarah Chandler and daughter Jessie of Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Wickbald and children, of Des Moines, Mrs. Gertrude Bartholomew, of Preston, Iowa, and Miss Ella Thompson of Chicago.
