Lone Tree Banquet Is
Held Thursday at

Church Parlors

LONE TREE -- Annual banquet of the alumni of the Lone Tree high school was held Thursday evening in the Reformed church parlors. Following the banquet the group retired to the Fisher hall where a dance was enjoyed to the music of Johnny Ruby and his orchestra.
Those from a distance who came for the banquet were Mr. and Mrs. Marshall C. Hunter, Miss Clara Petsel, Miss Edith Hotz, Miss Vivian Toland, Miss Evelyn Wiese, Robert Crowe, Elsie Ruppert, Dorothy Hendrix, William Schrag, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Amish, all of Iowa City; Miss Shirely Beirr, conroy; Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Wolfe, Miss Margaret Fox, John Kile, of West Liberty; Dr. and Mrs. C. D. Rawhouser of New London; Miss Christa Galloway of Muscatine; Elmer Galloway Jr., of Nichols, Billie McGuire of Chillicothe, Mo., Joe Gaeta of Iowa City.
Galyn Loehr, class of 1932, acted as toastmaster and the following program was given: Presentation of senior class by Supt. E. L. Dickinson; "Welcome," Major Harry Seevera; response of senior class by John O'Connor; short talk, "Prospects of Marriage" by Evelyn Wiese, class of 1938; letters from Clem Loehr and Charles Hacke were read by Mrs. Cyril Rife and Mrs. C. J. Loehr; introduction of Mrs. Rawhouser of the class of 1900.
One hundred and sixteen attended the banquet.
