SOCIETY

Kelly-Pugh
Miss Mary Pugh, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Pugh, became the bride of Mr. Charles Urban Kelly, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kelly, at a pretty wedding at St. Patrick's church, this morning. The nuptial high mass was celebrated by Very Rev. William P. Shannahan, assisted by John Pugh and Paul Wilkenson, acolytes.
Miss Mary Kelly played Mendelsohn's wedding march and at the offertory, Miss Julia Pugh sang Rosewig's "Ave Maria". Miss Winifred Malone attended as bridesmaid and Mr. Walter Kelly acted as best man. The ushers were Mr. Pat Murphy and Mr. Will Condon.
The bride was attired in a spring model of blue satin backed crepe trimmed in gold Spanish lace and wore a hat of contrasting color. A colonial bouquet of Ophelia roses and valley lilies completed her costume. Miss Malone wore brown satin, her flowers being pink sweet peas in corsage arrangement.
Immediately after the ceremony, a wedding breakfast was served at the Red Ball inn to immediate relatives and a few friends. Out of town guests were Mrs. Mary McGrath of Atlantic, Mr. Will Condon and Mr. Glenn Kaufman of Davenport, and Miss Elizabeth Glenn of Marengo.
After a short honeymoon trip in the west, Mr. and Mrs. Kelly will be at home on the Edenwold farm, east of Iowa City.
