GOLDEN WEDDING

Fifty years ago Wednesday, November 25th, Isaac Bowen and Miss Susan Williams were united in the holy bonds of matrimony at Higbee's Grove. They went to live on their farm in Scott township and there celebrated their golden wedding. They are the only ones known to have been married here and lived here ever since.

There were about fifty guests present. Among them were Mrs. J. I. Strubel and Mrs. S. J. Hess, who were present at the wedding fifty years ago. The family connections present were: Mrs. and Mrs. Emory Wescott, Mr. and Mrs. Smith Bradley, Mr. and Mrs. George Bowen and children, George Bradley, Arthru, Emery, Mortimer, Hortense, and Roscoe Wescott.

The other guests were: Elias Howell and wife, Leroy Lundell and wife, Wm. Meriden and wife, M. B. cochran and wife, S. J. Hess and wife, W. Foster and wife, Abel Beach, I. N. Saunders, Mrs. S. H. McCrory, Misses, Jane Hill, Irene Parsons and Florence Schell.

Mr. and Mrs. Bowen received a number of valuable presents. Among them were two elegant upholstered rockers and a fine carriage robe. A royal feast was given and the two long tables in the dining room were filled twice.
