SOLON GIRL WEDS OXFORD MAN HERE

Krall-Frees Service Solemnized April 8

In the presence of 200 guests, Miss Ruth Matilda Krall, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Krall of Solon, was married April 8 in St. Wenceslaus church to Mr. Robert Paul Frees of Oxford.

The Rev. Edward Neuzil officiated at the double ring ceremony before an altar decorated with Easter lilies.

Nuptial music was furnished by Mrs. Phil Englert at the organ, and Mr. Wesley Hotka, soloist, and included "Ave Maria," and "O Lord, I Am Not Worthy."

SLIPPER SATIN

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a wedding gown of white slipper satin, styled on princess lines with a full, lace-trimmed train. Insertions of lace accented the bodice of the gown. Her fingertip veil fell from a crown of orange blossoms and she carried an arm bouquet of white gladiolus and white carnations centered with an orchid.

Her maid of honor was her sister, Miss Velma Krall, who wore a gown of yellow lace and chiffon with a matching shoulder-length veil, which fell from a crown of feathers and velvet ribbons. Miss Mary Ann Laschke, the bridesmaid, wore dusty pink with matching crown and veil, and the junior bridesmaid, Mary Ann Griffin, wore baby pink chiffon and a head-dress of white carnations. All of the attendants carried colonial bouquets of spring flowers.

STEEL BLUE

Mrs. Krall, the bride's mother, wore a suit of steel blue wool and a corsage of red roses centered with a gardenia.

Mr. Harold Donohue was best man and the ushers were Linus Griffin, Solon, and Roland Spratt, Oxford.

A reception for 50 guests was held at Hotel Jefferson at 5 p.m. with a three-tiered wedding cake and bouquets of spring flowers decorating the bride's table.

For the wedding trip to Chicago, Ill., the bride wore a beige suit with brown accessories.

CITY HIGH

Mrs. Frees is a graduate of City High school and her husband of Oxford High school. He is now employed at the Jones Texaco Co. The couple will make their home at 407 North Dubuque Street.

Out of town guests at the wedding were Mrs. and Mrs. L. F. Hines, Cedar Rapids; Mrs. James Schneider, Davenport; Mrs. Myrtle Hecht and Mr. Alexander Lichty of Belle Plaine; Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Strand and Milton, and Mr. and Mrs. William Spear of Cicero, Ill.
