August is rivaling June, the original month for weddings, this year. So far this month the county clerk's office has issued a mighty array of marriage licenses to victims of the little love god. Last week saw a heavy toll and this week to date has been no exception. The following licenses have been issued since Monday.
Alois Kadlec, age 27, of Johnson county and Barbara Sulek, age 24, of Johnson county; Floyd Stanton, age 21, and Helen Bittner, age 18, both of Johnson county. A. J. Collicott, age 37, and Grace Helmer, age 33, both of Linn county. Theodore G. Specht, age 29, and Jennie L. Simpkins, age 27, both of Johnson county. Louis T. Martinek, age 21, and Sylvia Lenicek, age 19, both of Linn county.
