Iowa City, May 4. – The son of Professor Parker, of the State University, who, with his sister, was drowned in the Iowa River, near the dam above this city, on the 25th of April, was found yesterday about 300 feet from where he was drowned nine days ago. The son of Professor Howe, first discovered the head of the body above the water near shore. It had been so cold for three or four days past, the body seemed so well preserved, and is very little disfigured. He was 15 years old. A large force of citizens and University students are making vigilant search for the daughter of Professor Parker, drowned at the same time, that both may be buried together.
